Take a look at this chart on black beans over the past year.  Our bean broker sources recently told us that due to the wet spring in northern states 60% of bean crops are either damaged or non-existent, the remainder of crop in place could have damage as well.  As the chart below reflects black bean prices are up 21% over the last year, most of the increase coming in the past two months.  As harvest comes in with disappointing numbers these prices could increase.  Give us a call if you are interested in taking advantage of what is taking place in the black bean market.
