We look forward to expanding the products we offer. Our hope is to offer you products that will increase in value over the years while providing the safety of ownership in the event of shortages that may come. All of these products have longevity in common as well as usefulness.
Shredded Dried Coconut
Coconuts are one of the most nutritious of all fruits. Coconuts are rich in lauric acid, which is known for being antiviral, antibacterial and antifungal, and boosts the immune system. Dried, shredded coconut is an excellent source of non-meat protein that lasts a long time when stored.
We will carry various spices that will compliment other products that we have. Spices are an item with indefinite life and again carry value regardless of economic conditions. We plan to offer five gallon bucket spice kits that are approximately the portions needed for a ton of beans. One bucket will have 3-5 different spice combinations to compliment variety in a menu. We plan to do this for rice, potato flakes, and many of the grains as well. There will also be a soup spice kit for the purpose of mixing grains, beans, and the future dehydrated vegetables to make hardy tasty soup from bulk long-term storage food.
Everyone loves chocolate. We are currently investigating the longest lasting dark chocolate that will working with our storage process. Milk chocolate will not work because the dairy content would cause it to go rancid after some time.
These are the 3rd most traded commodity on the planet. In 2009 the average American consumed 9 pounds of coffee. This is a product that will always have a demand. We are looking into methods for possible long-term storage. At this time we are not certain whether any will work.
Bulk Seeds, (Garden)
Seed is often over-looked and taken for granted as a vital part of any food chain or food strategy. We will carry a wide variety of main crop seed such as corn, wheat, green beans, tomato, and much more. We will carry these in one and five gallon buckets, as well as fifty five gallon drums. We will have a few varieties of seed in IBC containers. All will be an excellent investment.
Laundry detergent is rarely included in anyone’s storage plan. Most powdered or granulated detergents purchased in stores are over 90% salt. The salt is used as a diluting agent to help distribute detergent widely to not burn clothes. By diluting detergent, it makes it take much more space and weighs much more than it has to. A two year supply of laundry detergent for twenty people using traditional store-bought powder would take approximately four pallets of space. Using only the highly concentrate detergent without filler material, the same amount would fit in one 55 gallon barrel, or ¼ of a pallet. We plan to carry this concentrated detergent by the 5 gallon bucket, 55 gallon drum, and 275 gallon IBC container. All will make an excellent investment.
Salt (Iodized, Sea)
Sea salt and table salt have the same basic nutritional value, despite the fact that sea salt is often marketed as a more natural and healthy alternative. The real differences between sea salt and table salt are in their taste, texture and processing, not their chemical makeup. We plan to carry salt as a product in 5 gallon buckets and 55 gallon drums. It is simply too heavy to put in IBC containers. A 55 gallon drum weighs over 900 pounds. The value of salt is only truly known when it is no longer available. History shows there were times its value was so high it was actually used as currency.
Dehydrated/Freeze Dried Fruits & Vegetables
Fruits and vegetables are usually marketed and purchased fresh, frozen, or canned. For long-term storage they are either dehydrated or freeze-dried then sold in foil pouches or nitrogen packed cans. We plan to carry these same items, but in much larger volumes like 5 gallon buckets, 55 gallon drums, and even 275 gallon IBC containers. They will last 20-30 years in our perfect storage environment.
